We are located at 203 North Hamilton Street in Watertown, with additional offices at Fort Drum and at 4-H Camp Wabasso in the town of Theresa on Millsite Lake. We also have staff in afterschool programs at LaFargeville Central School, Theresa Primary School, Copenhagen School, Belleville-Henderson Central School, and Lyme Central School. Our staff of about 90, with a seasonal staff of about 30 at 4-H Camp Wabasso, provides residents of Jefferson County with a broad variety of practical information that is useful to people in their everyday lives.

We offer something for just about everybody—including information about agriculture, gardening, home, nutrition, parenting, teen issues, and opportunities for young people, as well as programs to enhance the lives of our military families. We serve thousands of people every year.

We believe that “knowledge is power.” Through school and community programs, publications, new technologies, facilitated discussion groups, mass media, and other means, we help people use knowledge to enhance their own lives, as well as the lives of their families and communities.
